Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

From junk to function — How weak selection in eukaryotes builds new parts and drives genomic complexity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
How do genomes gain new functional parts? In eukaryotes, which tend to evolve under weak selection, much of the genome is junk. Palazzo and Qiu borrow the logic of Markov chains to show how non‐functional DNA becomes functional through the appearance of intermediate states, which arise due to epistasis, buffering, and biochemical messiness, allowing ...

Total graph of a $0$-distributive lattice [PDF]

open access: yesCategories and General Algebraic Structures with Applications, 2018
Let £ be a $0$-distributive lattice with the least element $0$, the greatest element $1$, and ${rm Z}(£)$ its set of zero-divisors. In this paper, we introduce the total graph of £, denoted by ${rm T}(G (£))$.

Invariance of minimal prime ideals under derivations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1991
The authors construct an easy counterexample to the conjecture that any derivation of a semiprime ring must send any minimal prime to itself. To describe the example, let \(p>0\) be a prime, and set \(M=M_ p(GF(p))\), T the countable direct product of copies of M, \(A=\sum^{p- 1}_{i=1}e_{i,i+1}\in M\), S the subring of M generated by A, and R the ...

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

Dual-Topology Linguistic Neutrosophic Filters for Teaching Quality Analysis in University Dance Aesthetic Education [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems
Assessing teaching quality in university dance aesthetic education demands methods that are precise, fair, and sensitive to style. This paper introduces a dual-topology, linguistically neutrosophic framework that represents each classroom event as a ...

Spaces of ideals of distributive lattices II. Minimal prime ideals [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1974
This paper, the second of a sequence beginning with [14], deals with the relationship between a distributive lattice L = (L; ∨, ∧, 0) with zero, and certain spaces of minimal prime ideals of L. Similar studies of minimal prime ideals in commutative semigroups [8] and in commutative rings [6] inspired this work, and many of our results are similar to ...

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

M− Prime Ideals in Lattices and Their M− Prime Spectrum

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences
In this paper, we explore various characteristics and attributes of M− prime ideals, minimal M− prime ideals, and weakly M− prime ideals in a lattice. We demonstrate that the image and inverse image of an M− prime ideal (or weakly M− prime ideal) also ...

Concerning the frame of minimal prime ideals of pointfree function rings [PDF]

open access: yesCategories and General Algebraic Structures with Applications, 2013
Let $L$ be a completely regular frame and $mathcal{R}L$ be the ring of continuous real-valued functions on $L$. We study the frame $mathfrak{O}(Min(mathcal{R}L))$ of minimal prime ideals of $mathcal{R}L$ in relation to $beta L$.
