On Groups of Automorphisms of Residually Finite Groups
We show that certain properties of groups of automorphisms can be read off from the actions they induce on the finite characteristic quotients of their underlying group G.

Weconsider a nonlinear elliptic problem driven by the p-Laplacian, where the right hand side nonlinearity exhibits a p-linear behavior near infinity and the Euler functional of the problem need not be coercive and, in fact, can be indefinite.

Residual Finiteness Growth in Minimax Groups
If $g\in G$ is a non-trivial element in a residually finite group, then there exists by definition a finite group $Q$ and a homomorphism $φ: G \to Q$ such that $φ(g) \neq e$. The residual finiteness growth $\text{RF}_G$ of a finitely generated residually finite group $G$ estimates the size of $Q$ in terms of the word norm $\|g\|$ of the element $g\in G$

On Groups with Chain Conditions
Our aim in this note is to generalize results of Baer in [3; 5]. In § 1 an arbitrary formation n is considered, the key result being Proposition 1.5. This is applied in § 2 to characterize

Characterization of a miniature cultivar as a biological model for soybean (Glycine max cv. MiniMax)
A soja [Glycine max (L.) Merr] é a principal cultura oleaginosa do mundo e a principal fonte de proteínas para humanos e animais. Nos últimos anos tem-se buscado entender a função de genes de interesse agronômico.

Model-assisted variable clustering: minimax-optimal recovery and algorithms
The problem of variable clustering is that of estimating groups of similar components of a p-dimensional vector X = (X1,. .. , Xp) from n independent copies of X.

Fitting subgroups of profinite completions of soluble minimax groups
This paper is concerned with the question of how far a group is determined by the class of all of its finite images. It is known that it is rarely determined up to isomorphism but for some classes of groups, there can be only finitely many isomorphism types of groups of that class with the same collection of finite images.

Soluble products of minimax groups, and nearly surjective derivations
The author proves that a soluble group \(G=AB\) which is the product of two minimax subgroups \(A\) and \(B\) is a minimax group. (A soluble group is a minimax group if it has a finite series whose factors are cyclic or Prüfer groups.) This solves Problem 9.54 of the Kourouvka Notebook [1986; Zbl 0625.20001]. Some special cases of this result where one

Locally Soluble-by-Finite Groups with the Weak Minimal Condition on Non-Nilpotent Subgroups
The authors investigate the structure of locally soluble-by-finite groups that satisfy the weak minimal condition on non-nilpotent subgroups.
