Unassisted Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Production Coupled with Selective Glucose Oxidation Using Metal Halide Perovskite Photoanodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A metal halide perovskite‐based photoanode integrated with a CoNiFe layered double hydroxide (LDH) cocatalyst is reported for selective glucose oxidation reaction (GOR), achieving simultaneous and unassisted photoelectrochemical hydrogen production. This system delivers high photocurrent density, excellent Faradaic efficiency of GOR, and strong techno ...

Bimetallic Nanoparticles as Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Recent developments have introduced bimetallic nanoparticles as effective cocatalysts for photocatalytic systems. This review explores the rapidly expanding research on bimetallic cocatalysts for photocatalytic production of hydrogen, emphasizing the creation of carrier‐selective contacts, localized surface plasmon resonance effects, methodologies for ...

What inference for two-stage phase II trials?

open access: yesBMC Medical Research Methodology, 2012
Background Simon’s two-stage designs are widely used for cancer phase II trials. These methods rely on statistical testing and thus allow controlling the type I and II error rates, while accounting for the interim analysis.

Electrically Tunable On‐Chip Topological Photonics with Integrated Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates electrically tunable on‐chip topological THz devices by integrating 2D carbon nanotube (CNT) sheets with valley‐Hall photonic crystals, enabling broadband transmission modulation (71% modulation depth) and tunable narrowband filtering (0.54 GHz shift) through electrically induced thermal tuning. This advancement paves the way for

In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.

Minimum variance unbiased estimation based on bootstrap iterations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 23rd International Conference on Information Technology Interfaces, 2001. ITI 2001., 2001
Practical computation of the minimum variance unbiased estimator (MVUE) is often a difficult, if not impossible, task, even though general statistical theory assures its existence under regularity conditions. We propose a new approach, based on infinitely many iterations of bootstrap bias correction, to calculating the MVUE approximately.

Engineering Relative Spatial Structure of Dual Atomic Sites with Asymmetric Coordination for High‐Performance Hydrogen Evolution Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dual‐atom catalysts featuring varying spatial configurations of metal sites (Pt1Fe1 DACs) are employed to systematically investigate the influence of spatial arrangements on the electronic structure and catalytic activity of active sites. Notably, the 3D asymmetric Pt1Fe1‐TAC dimer, featuring strong interatomic interactions, demonstrates superior ...

Optimal Filtering Methods to Structural Damage Estimation under Ground Excitation

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
This paper considers the problem of shear building damage estimation subject to earthquake ground excitation using the Kalman filtering approach. The structural damage is assumed to take the form of reduced elemental stiffness.
