Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Toward a Unified Mechanistic Understanding of Polymer Electrolytes for Advanced Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes (PEs) are often indiscriminately grouped as “solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs)”, despite fundamental differences in their ion‐transport mechanisms. This Perspective establishes a mechanism‐based framework that distinguishes gel, quasi‐solid, and all‐solid polymer electrolytes based on their dominant ion‐transport pathways.

Experimental study of electrostatic ignition of nylon 1010 material under high pressure and pure oxygen environment

open access: yesPolymer Testing
Polymer materials are prevalently used in the fabrication of oxygen equipment valves; however, they pose significant risks of ignition and explosion, often triggered by electrostatic charges.

Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery

Stabilizing Electrochemical Interfaces With Multifunctional Cobalt Nitride Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Cobalt nitrides emerged recently as an interesting class of earth‐abundant oxygen evolution catalysts. Herein, plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition is used to synthesize multifunctional cobalt nitride layers that simultaneously protect and catalytically activate photoelectrode surfaces.

Measurement on minimum ignition energy of n-decane with pyrolysis

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2021
Abstract Measurement on the minimum ignition energy (MIE) of n-decane with pyrolysis is investigated experimentally. Certain decomposition rate n-decane vapor is simulated by blending certain proportion of ethylene into n-decane vapor.

ZDHHC9‐Mediated Palmitoylation of ACSL4 Drives Ferroptosis in Diabetes Mellitus–Induced Erectile Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus‐induced erectile dysfunction (DMED) is a highly prevalent complication among diabetic patients; however, its underlying pathogenic mechanisms remain incompletely understood. Metabolic disorder is a hallmark of diabetes, yet its precise contribution to DMED progression is not well defined.
