Generalised minimum moment aberration for designs with both qualitative and quantitative factors
The minimum moment aberration and the minimum Lee‐moment aberration criteria are two popular conceptually simple and computationally cheap criteria for selecting good designs. However, the minimum moment aberration is suitable for qualitative factors, and the minimum Lee‐moment aberration cannot distinguish some designs with high‐level quantitative ...

Minimum moment abberation for nonregular designs and supersaturated designs
Summary: A novel combinatorial criterion, called minimum moment aberration, is proposed for assessing the goodness of nonregular designs and supersaturated designs. The new criterion, which is to sequentially minimize the power moments of the number of coincidences among runs, is a surrogate with tremendous computational advantages for many ...

Genotoxicity test of eight natural color additives in the Korean market
Background Various natural color additives are preferred by many consumers over synthetic color additives because they are perceived to be safer. However, most do not have sufficient toxicity data for safety assurance.

Some Results on $s^{n-k}$ Fractional Factorial Designs with Minimum Aberration or Optimal Moments
The minimum aberration criterion is commonly used for selecting good fractional factorial designs. In this paper we obtain minimum aberration $2^{n - k}$ designs for $k = 3, 4$ and any $n$. For $k > 4$ analogous results are not available for general $n$ since the resolution criterion is not periodic for general $n$ and $k > 4$. However, it can be shown

Sickle Cell Disease Is an Inherent Risk for Asthma in a Sibling Comparison Study
ABSTRACT Introduction Sickle cell disease (SCD) and asthma share a complex relationship. Although estimates vary, asthma prevalence in children with SCD is believed to be comparable to or higher than the general population. Determining whether SCD confers an increased risk for asthma remains challenging due to overlapping symptoms and the ...

Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

ABSTRACT Objectives To identify predictors of chronic ITP (cITP) and to develop a model based on several machine learning (ML) methods to estimate the individual risk of chronicity at the timepoint of diagnosis. Methods We analyzed a longitudinal cohort of 944 children enrolled in the Intercontinental Cooperative immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) Study ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐
