Assessment and Comparative Study of Free and Commercial Numerical Software Packages for Lithium‐Ion Battery Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
This study evaluates the simulation capabilities of lithium‐ion battery (LIB) electrochemical simulation software packages. The benchmark simulation results reveal the impacts of parameter sensitivity to solver performance and stability. The guidelines to troubleshooting common solver failures at high current rates lowers the steep learning curve to ...

Perturbation Algorithm for a Minimax Regret Minimum Spanning Tree Problem

open access: yesOperations Research and Decisions, 2014
The problem of finding a robust spanning tree has been analysed. The problem consists of determining a minimum spanning tree of a graph with uncertain edge costs. We should determine a spanning tree that minimizes the difference in costs between the tree

Design, Simulation, and Fabrication of High‐Performance Metamaterial Absorber for EMI Mitigation and THz NDT/Imaging Applications: A Shape‐Preserved GHz‐to‐THz Transition Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
A novel metamaterial absorber is designed, simulated, and validated for both 5G mmWave and THz applications, achieving >95.8% and 90% absorption, respectively. Its polarization‐insensitive, scalable design enables applications in THz NDT, imaging, and EMI shielding.

Minimum Spanning Tree Algorithm for Skin Cancer Image Object Detection

open access: yesمجلة كلية التربية للبنات, 2019
This paper proposes a new method Object Detection in Skin Cancer Image, the minimum spanning tree Detection descriptor (MST). This ObjectDetection descriptor builds on the structure of the minimum spanning tree constructed on the targettraining set of ...

Minimum Cost Spanning Tree Games and Spillover Stability [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper discusses minimum cost spanning tree games and argues that the standard approach of using a transferable utility game to come up with a fair allocation of the total costs has some flaws.

Non‐Invasive Diagnosis of Chronic Myocardial Infarction via Composite In‐Silico‐Human Data Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a non‐invasive machine learning model to identify infarct regions in the left ventricle using cardiac strain data. By combining rodent‐based simulated data with limited human data, the model achieves high accuracy in predicting infarct size and location without the need for gadolinium contrast agents, offering a promising ...

Minimum Spanning Trees and Types of Dissimilarities

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 1996
AbstractThis paper is devoted to structural relations between types of dissimilarities and the corresponding minimum spanning trees (MSTs). It is first shown that dissimilarity preorders inducing directly hierarchical classification or seriation may be characterized in terms of MSTs.

Integrating Dense Genotyping with High‐Throughput Phenotyping Empowers the Genetic Dissection of Berry Quality and Resilience Traits in Grapevine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Researchers develop advanced tools to study grapevine traits like berry quality and stress resilience. A 200K SNP array and high‐throughput phenotyping enable the identification of loci linked to berry shape, sugar content, acidity, and cold tolerance. Functional validation of genes such as NAC08 reveals roles in cold tolerance.
