Comparison of No-tillage, Minimum, and Full Tillage Cultural Practices on Peanuts [PDF]
Abstract The no-tillage system for peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.) was investigated from 1978 to 1981 in comparison with minimum and full tillage. Difficulty in controlling weeds, soil compaction, and reduced yields were problems associated with no-tillage peanut culture.

Minimum tillage and no-tillage winter wheat–summer fallow for low precipitation regions [PDF]
Dryland wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is the principal crop grown on 3.35 million ha (8.28 million ac) of the semiarid Inland Pacific Northwest of the United States. In areas with less than 300 mm (12 in) of annual precipitation, challenges for wheat production are similar to those found in the Mediterranean region and Australia.

Experience with minimum tillage and nitrogen fertilization
In long-term experiments with spring wheat, potatoes and sugar beet on ploughed or unploughed river clay soil, yield differences and differences in response to fertilizers were tentatively explained in terms of the limited size and activity of the root systems in the unploughed plots. Pesticide runoff from conventional tillage, minimum tillage, and no-tillage cropping systems: Meta-analysis of published North American data. [PDF]
AbstractPesticide applications may soon be regulated by laws predicated on the presupposition that reducing tillage, and thereby increasing soil surface crop residue cover, decreases sorbed and soluble agrochemical losses in surface runoff and erosion.
