Multi-path Summation for Decoding 2D Topological Codes [PDF]
Fault tolerance is a prerequisite for scalable quantum computing. Architectures based on 2D topological codes are effective for near-term implementations of fault tolerance.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Micro-cluster Structure Clustering Based on Weight-Constrained Minimum Spanning Tree
Currently, it is a challenging problem to make clustering algorithms suitable for arbitrary distributions of data. In this paper, we propose a Micro-cluster Structure Clustering algorithm based on the Weight-constrained Minimum Spanning Tree, called MSC ...

Drawable and forbidden minimum weight triangulations [PDF]
A graph is minimum weight drawable if it admits a straight-line drawing that is a minimum weight triangulation of the set of points representing the vertices of the graph. In this paper we consider the problem of characterizing those graphs that are minimum weight drawable.

A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
