A Configurable Transport Layer for CAF

open access: yes, 2018
The message-driven nature of actors lays a foundation for developing scalable and distributed software. While the actor itself has been thoroughly modeled, the message passing layer lacks a common definition. Properties and guarantees of message exchange

A Survey of Load Balancing Approaches Based on Switch Migration in Software‐Defined Networks

open access: yesIET Networks, Volume 14, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
In this article, after discussing the load balancing of multiple controllers as one of the research challenges in this field, its solution through the switch migration is investigated. A variety of load balancing methods based on switch migration are investigated and then a comprehensive comparison is made between them.

An Implementation of Deep Reinforcement Learning‐Based Routing Framework for Open‐Network Operating System‐Controlled and Mininet‐Emulated Software‐Defined Networking

open access: yesIET Networks, Volume 14, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Software‐defined networking (SDN) has emerged as a groundbreaking architecture that separates the control plane from the data plane, relocating it to a more computationally capable central controller. Here, we present a systematic guide to implementing such schemes in Java‐based and open‐source open network operating system (ONOS) SDN controllers.

Hybrid Approach for Detection and Mitigation of DDoS Attacks Using Multi-feature Selection, Unsupervised Learning, and Game Theory

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology
Software-defined networking (SDN) is now widely used in modern network infrastructures, but its centralized control design makes it vulnerable to distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks targeting the SDN controller.

Energy‐Aware Regression in Spiking Neural Networks for Autonomous Driving: A Comparative Study With Convolutional Networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Intelligent Systems, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
As autonomous driving (AD) systems grow more complex, their rising computational demands pose significant energy and sustainability challenges. This paper investigates spiking neural networks (SNNs) as low‐power alternatives to convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for regression tasks in AD.

USING MININET TO MODULATING MULTIDOMAIN NETWORKS SDN

open access: yesProceedings of the international scientific conference " MODERN CHALLENGES IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS ", 2022
