Machine Learning Guided Design of Doped Lithium Lanthanum Zirconium Oxide (LLZO) for Improved Performance

open access: yesEnergy Storage, Volume 8, Issue 4, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a machine‐learning approach to the development of all‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) with doped Lithium Lanthanum Zirconium Oxide (LLZO) electrolytes. LLZO electrolytes are promising solid electrolytes that exhibit high ionic conductivities of approximately ~10−3–10−4 S cm−1.

Intelligent Material Framework for Data Mining and Performance Prediction of Invar Alloy

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Invar alloys exhibit a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) over a wide temperature range and are regarded as critical materials for precision engineering and aerospace applications. In this work, an integrated OLR‐IMF (an intelligent material framework based on optical character recognition [OCR], large language models [LLMs], and ...

Low‐Dose Electron Total Scattering Analysis Resolves Non‐Crystalline Phase Separation in Polymer Semiconductors and Device Multilayers

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 10, Issue 11, 8 June 2026.
The performance of polymer blend semiconductors is governed by both the degree of phase separation and crystallization, but these two aspects have remained unresolved. We report methods for mapping amorphous‐amorphous as well as amorphous‐crystalline phase separation in polyfluorene‐based polymer blends using spatially resolved nanobeam electron total ...

A Structured Review of Selenium Pollution in Global Aquatic Environments: Sources, Levels, and Co‐Pollutants

open access: yesEnvironmental Quality Management, Volume 35, Issue 4, Summer 2026.
ABSTRACT Despite its nutritional and industrial significance, selenium (Se) is considered a pollutant in aquatic environments owing to its toxicity at elevated concentrations, which potentially cause environmental degradation and adverse health effects in humans and local biota.

Medicine for the Material World

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue 3, Page 434-439, June 2026.
ABSTRACT It is clear that many of the inorganic materials of antiquity have been used both as medicines for human ills and also as agents in technological processes. This paper speculates that there might have been a stronger link between these two functions in the past, based on the concept of “active agents”—materials that are efficacious at curing ...

Dietitians as Food Systems Changemakers: The Path to Developing a Resilient, Equitable, Healthy and Connected Food System in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Region of Australia

open access: yesJournal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Volume 39, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Contemporary food systems contribute to climate change and influence food security, diet quality, equity and regional resilience. Addressing these interconnected challenges requires coordinated, place‐based actions across the entire food system, with dietitians and nutrition professionals increasingly recognised as key system actors.
