A prospective, split-mouth, clinical study of orthodontic titanium miniscrews with machined and acid-etched surfaces [PDF]
OBJECTIVES: To determine whether the success rate and primary stability of surface-treated miniscrews differ from those of nontreated miniscrews. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients who required one or more miniscrews for the same reason in each quadrant ...

MINISCREW STABILITY REGARDING DESIGN OF MINISCREW AND THICKNESS OF CORTICAL BONE
The aim of this study was to suggest a design for an orthodontic miniscrew which may work most favorably in the thin cortical bone of the adolescent. In this study, orthodontic miniscrews with different diameters, lengths, and body types were manufactured and implanted in two artificial bone samples with different cortical bone thickness.

Background—Upper molar distalization with a clear aligner is a debated topic in the scientific literature. One of the main issues is the loss of anchorage, so Class II elastics or the application of miniscrews are recommended. The aim of this study is to

ABSTRACT Objective This study evaluated, in three dimensions, the skeletal effects of two minimally invasive bone‐anchored techniques for surgically assisted palatal expansion, with and without pterygomaxillary disjunction (PD) and nasal septum disinsertion (NSD). Materials and Methods Thirty‐nine patients were retrospectively selected from two centres

Nonsurgical treatment and stability of an adult with a severe anterior open-bite malocclusion
OBJECTIVES: A skeletal anterior open-bite is a challenging malocclusion for the orthodontist due to the difficulty and instability of correction. Treatment options for the adult patient include extractions, anterior extrusion with intermaxillary elastics,
