Conoid Surfaces Family in Minkowski 3-Space

International Conference on Applied Engineering and Natural Sciences, 2023
This study focuses on exploring a distinct family of conoid surfaces in the three-dimensional Minkowski space L3. Our main objective is to delve into the differential geometry of this family, analyzing its curvatures in detail. Furthermore, we establish the essential conditions for achieving minimality within this specific framework.

Rotations on a Lightcone in Minkowski 3-Space

Advances in Applied Clifford Algebras, 2017
Consider a nondegenerate symmetric bilinear form on \(\mathbb{R}^{3}\) \[ B=\begin{pmatrix} -a_1 & 0 & 0\\ 0 & a_2 & 0\\ 0 & 0 & a_3 \end{pmatrix} \] with \(a_1,a_2,a_3 \in \mathbb{R}^+\). The ``geometry'' it imposes on \(\mathbb{R}^{3}\) is used in modern theoretical physics, with the first axis representing ``time'' and the two other axes ...

Magnetic spherical indicatricies in Minkowski 3-space

International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2023
In this paper, we examine curves drawn by a timelike or spacelike curve[Formula: see text] on the pseudo-hyperbolic sphere [Formula: see text] and the unit Lorentzian sphere [Formula: see text]in three-dimensional Minkowski space [Formula: see text] We present Lorentz forces and magnetic curves produced by the Frenet frame [Formula: see text] on ...

HELICOIDAL CDPC-SURFACES IN MINKOWSKI 3-SPACE

International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2010
In this paper, we discuss the local existence and the construction of helicoidal CDPC-surfaces, i.e. the helicoidal surfaces with constant difference of the principal curvatures, in Minkowski 3-space [Formula: see text]. In general, there exist helicoidal surfaces with conjugate complex principal curvatures, which have no counterparts in R3.

Accretive growth kinematics in Minkowski 3-space

International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2017
In this study, a model of accretive growth for arbitrary surfaces in three-dimensional Minkowski space is formulated by evolving a curve. An analytical approach to surfaces is also given in terms of a few parameters which are effective in the accretive growth of surfaces. The proposed method is visualized on some test surfaces and displayed in terms of

Ruled Weingarten surfaces in Minkowski 3-space

manuscripta mathematica, 1999
The authors characterize all non-developable ruled surfaces in Minkowski 3-space (pseudo-Euclidean 3-space, having the indefinite metric \(ds^2= -dx^2+ dy^2+ dz^2)\) with a relation \(F(H,K)= 0\) between the mean curvature \(H\) and the Gauss curvature \(K\) (Weingarten surfaces).

On Cartan null Bertrand curves in Minkowski 3-space

2021
Summary: In this paper, we consider Cartan null Bertrand curves in Minkowski 3-space. Since the principal normal vector of a null curve is a spacelike vector, the Bertrand mate curve of a null curve can be a timelike curve and a spacelike curve with spacelike principal normal. We give the necessary and suffient conditions for these cases to be Bertrand

Singular Points of Tubular Surfaces in Minkowski 3-Space

Sarajevo Journal of Mathematics
In this paper, we examine singular points of tubular surfaces and its parallel surfaces, which is based on two-parameter spatial motion along a curve in Minkowski 3-space. Related results are presented also.   2000 Mathematics Subject Classification.
