ABSTRACT Severe mental illness is frequently approached through nosological criteria focused on symptom severity, neglecting the complexity of lived experience. Phenomenology understands psychopathology not as an isolated biological dysfunction, but as a radical alteration in the structure of being‐in‐the‐world. Grounded in Merleau‐Ponty's ontology and

An elegant model of the geodesic flow on the modular surface
Abstract Caroline Series' [The modular surface and continued fractions, J. Lond. Math. Soc. (2), 31, no. 1, (1985), 69–80] gives a clear framework linking, in a deceptively simple way, the dynamics of the geodesic flow on the modular surface with the dynamics of the regular continued fraction, through a well‐chosen symbolic coding.

Frenet frames and invariants of timelike ruled surfaces
In this study we give the Frenet frames and Frenet invariants of timelike ruled surfaces. We show that a timelike ruled surface and its directing cone have the same base of Frenet frame.

Random Diophantine equations in the primes
Abstract We consider equations of the form a1x1k+⋯+asxsk=0$a_{1}x_{1}^{k}+\cdots +a_{s}x_{s}^{k}=0$ where the variables xi$x_{i}$ are all taken to be primes. We define an analogue of the Hasse principle for solubility in the primes (which we call the prime Hasse principle), and prove that, whenever k⩾2$k\geqslant 2$, s⩾3k+2$s\geqslant 3k+2$, this holds

Geometric approaches to establish the fundamentals of Lorentz spaces $\mathbb{R}_2^3$ and $\mathbb{R}_1^2$ [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to investigate the orthogonality of vectors to each other and the Gram-Schmidt method in the Minkowski space $\mathbb{R}_2^3$.

On the Null Scrolls in Minkowski 3-space
We study ruled surfaces with lightlike ruling in Minkowski 3-space which are said to be null-scrolls. Even that the result is a consequence of some well-known results involving the Gauss map, we give another approach to classify all null-scrolls under the condition where is the Laplace operator with respect to the first fundamental form and the set of ...

On parallel surfaces in Minkowski 3-space
In this paper, we study on some properties of parallel surfaces in Minkowski 3-space. The results given in this paper were given in Euclidean space by [7, 8]. By using these two former studies, we show these properties in Minkowski 3-space. Also we give the relation among the fundamental forms of parallel surfaces in Minkowski 3-space.

On Cartan null Bertrand curves in Minkowski 3-space
Summary: In this paper, we consider Cartan null Bertrand curves in Minkowski 3-space. Since the principal normal vector of a null curve is a spacelike vector, the Bertrand mate curve of a null curve can be a timelike curve and a spacelike curve with spacelike principal normal. We give the necessary and suffient conditions for these cases to be Bertrand

Integrable system of null curve and Betchov-Da Rios equation
This study focuses on the time evolution of a null curve using a new frame and a new transformation in Minkowski 3-space. Accordingly, Landau–Lifshitz and coupled Boussinesq-like equations for the null curve are provided in terms of the new ...

A uniqueness theorem for warped N > 16 Minkowski backgrounds with fluxes
We demonstrate that warped Minkowski space backgrounds, Rn−1,1×wMd−n, n≥3, that preserve strictly more than 16 supersymmetries in d=11 and type II d=10 supergravities and with fields which may not be smooth everywhere are locally isometric to the Rd−1,1 ...
