THE CHARACTERISTICS OF HYPERSPHERES IN MINKOWSKI SPACE

Acta Mathematica Scientia, 2003
The authors, using a special \(Y\)-Riemann metric, study hyperspheres in a Minkowski space, and they give some characterizations of hyperspheres in a Minkowski space.

PLATEAU'S PROBLEM IN MINKOWSKI SPACE

Analysis, 1985
The author proves that any spacelike immersion of \(S^{n-2}\) into the n- dimensional Minkowski space which admits some spacelike extension to the unit ball \(B\subset {\mathbb{R}}^{n-1}\) is the boundary of a maximal (with respect to the induced metric) spacelike immersion of B. In the case \(n=3\) it is shown that such a maximal surface is in general

On Bisectors in Minkowski Normed Spaces

Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 2000
Let \(K\) be a symmetric (with respect to the origin) bounded convex body in \({\mathbb R}^n\), and \(N_K\) its Minkowski functional (or gauge). The bisector of the segment \([0,x]\) is the set of points which are equidistant of \(0\) and \(x\) for \(N_K\): \[ H_x=\{y\in {\mathbb R}^n ;\;N_K(y)=N_K(x-y)\} . \] \textit{M. M. Day} [Trans. Am.
