Pregnancy‐Associated Cardiomyopathy in a Late‐Diagnosed Partial Hydatidiform Mole: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background The hydatidiform mole presents as either a complete or partial mole. They are differentiated by morphology, histopathology, karyotype, and the risk of malignancy. Partial hydatidiform moles are the only type of trophoblastic gestational disease associated with the presence of a fetus (with or without positive cardiac response).

Testing the Option Value Theory of Irreversible Investment [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper statistically tests the option theory of irreversible investment under uncertainty. Using contingent claims valuation, we derive the value of options to invest in capacity, where the projects are endogenous to the economic circumstances ...

A Review of the Evidence for Treatment of Myocardial Infarction With Nonobstructive Coronary Arteries

open access: yesCJC Open, 2020
Myocardial infarction (MI) with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is reported in 6% of patients with acute MI referred for catheterization. Because of the complex etiology and a limited amount of evidence, the treatment of MINOCA remains elusive.

Myocardial Infarction With No Obstructive Coronary Artery Disease and the 2023 Turkiye Earthquakes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Clinical Practice, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background Increased rates of cardiac events at the time of natural disasters have been reported. However, the relationship between myocardial infarctions and earthquakes is less clear. We report on the rate of myocardial infarction with no obstructive coronary artery (MINOCA) disease during the 2023 Turkiye earthquakes.

Exome Sequencing Identified Susceptible Genes for High Residual Risks in Early‐Onset Coronary Atherosclerotic Disease

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 47, Issue 12, December 2024.
Whole exome sequencing were conducted in EOCAD patients without defined conventional risk factors and CAD‐free control subjects. The sequenced nonsynonymous single nucleotide variants were subjected to variant annotation and gene mapping with disease‐related database.

Myocardial Infarction with Nonobstructive Coronary Arteries (МINОСА) – a Trendy Term or a New Diagnostic Concept?

open access: yesРациональная фармакотерапия в кардиологии, 2018
The new term «MINOCA» (myocardial infarction with nonobstructive coronary arteries) emerged in the literature about 5 years ago and characterizes the syndrome with heterogeneous etiology and pathogenesis, which reflects the development of myocardial ...

Acute myocardial infarction as presenting symptom of thymoma with compression on a coronary stent

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 15, Issue 29, Page 2139-2142, October 2024.
Acute myocardial infarction is a rare presenting symptom of thymoma. Myocardial infarction was caused by the thrombotic occlusion of previously implanted coronary stent. The treatment consisted in thrombus aspiration and plain old balloon angioplasty followed by robotic‐assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) thymoma resection. Abstract We report the clinical

Management of myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) in Germany: a single-center study on hospital resources and healthcare economics [PDF]

open access: yes
Background Patients with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) present as a main feature ≤50% stenosis upon angiography despite clinical symptoms and biomarker elevation related to acute coronary syndrome.

Prognostic Impact of Infarct Size and Coronary Microvascular Function Via Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and Coronary Angiography‐Derived Index of Microcirculatory Resistance in Myocardial Infarction With Nonobstructive Coronary Arteries

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease
Background Infarct size (IS) and microvascular obstruction (MVO), measured by cardiovascular magnetic resonance, are key prognostic markers after myocardial infarction (MI). The index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) predicts MVO and IS; however, its

Role of Lipoprotein Ratios and Remnant Cholesterol in Patients with Myocardial Infarction with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA) [PDF]

open access: yes
Background: Myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is a clinical situation characterized by evidence of acute myocardial infarction (AMI)—according to the Fourth Universal Definition of Myocardial Infarction—with normal ...
