Metal‐tetracene dimeric complexes are synthesized through the pyridyl coordination to either Pt(II) or Pd(II). Photophysical properties are systematically compared as a function of the metal using steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy. The Pt(II) dimer exhibits efficient intramolecular singlet fission and subsequent intramolecular up‐conversion ...

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Minority Stress and Physical Health Among Sexual Minorities
Perspectives on Psychological Science, 2013Lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) individuals suffer serious mental health disparities relative to their heterosexual peers, and researchers have linked these disparities to difficult social experiences (e.g., antigay victimization) and internalized biases (e.g., internalized homophobia) that arouse stress.

It is argued that minority status, despite some recent evidence to the contrary, is a risk factor for mental ill-health. The evidence reviewed suggests that it is the experience at the local, rather than national, level that is critical. The effect appears to be due to the reduced exposure to prejudice and increased social support that a consonant ...
