Peacekeeping and Conformity with Human Rights Law: How MINUSTAH Falls Short in Haiti
International Peacekeeping, 2006This article uses the UN mission to Haiti to demonstrate how present efforts to integrate human rights in peace operations are at best marginal and at worst a violation of UN members' human rights obligations. It highlights the growing division between the UN's theoretical understanding and practice in this context.
