Can We Distinguish Genuine Minutiae from Imposter Minutiae
2020 17th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ECTI-CON), 2020we propose a novel method to differentiate genuine minutiae from impostor minutiae of an enhanced latent fingerprint. Because poor-quality latent fingerprints are deposited on uncontrolled backgrounds with noises, the imposter minutiae are incorrectly detected by a conventional fingerprint enhancement process.
