2015Restrictive cardiomyopathy is one of the least common types of cardiomyopthy. It is characterized by an abnormal diastolic ventricular function in which increased stiffness of the myocardium causes rises in ventricular pressure, with only small increases in volume. Systolic function is usually preserved.
