Misalignment Tolerant Diffractive Optical Networks

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2021
Design of diffractive optical networks that are resilient against physical misalignments is reported. The success of this design framework is also experimentally demonstrated using 3D printed diffractive networks that operate at THz wavelengths.

Misalignment-Tolerant Receiver Arrays

Optics in Computing, 1997
This poster will present experimental measurements of the performance of a misalignment tolerant receiver array which we have had fabricated and which is currently being tested. It consists of a 2-D array of CMOS detectors and receivers with each cell linked to its nearest neighbours in 8 directions.

Biocular image misalignment tolerance

SPIE Proceedings, 2003
Biocular helmet-mounted display (HMD) design flexibility and cost are directly related to image misalignment tolerance standards. Currently recommended tolerance levels are based on highly variable data from a number of studies. This paper presents progress of an ongoing study to evaluate optometric measures sensitive to misalignment in partial-overlap

Partial-overlap biocular image misalignment tolerance

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
Partial-overlap biocular helmet-mounted display (HMD) design flexibility and cost are directly related to image misalignment standards. Currently suggested standards are based on highly variable data from a number of studies, most using subjective discomfort or diplopia measures. This study tested the suggested standard for divergent horizontal image

Devising a misalignment tolerant subsea grasping system

Oceans '97. MTS/IEEE Conference Proceedings, 2002
This paper addresses the problem of devising a subsea grasping system which tolerates significant pre-grasp misalignment between the gripper and its intended task object. We begin by discussing the desired characteristics and the required functions of such a system and use this information to select the most suitable approach for coping with ...

A Self-Adaptive Dual-Channel LCC-S Detuned Topology for Misalignment Tolerance in AUV Wireless Power Transfer Systems

IEEE transactions on power electronics
The traditional method for achieving misalignment tolerance using two detuned circuits depends on output sampling and communication between the primary and secondary sides.

Experimental evaluation of a misalignment tolerant FSO receiver

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
In order to track, acquire and maintain a free-space optical link between mobile platforms experiencing misalignment due to movement and atmospheric turbulence requires a different approach than traditional free-space optical transceivers. Recent investigations of alternative receiver configurations found that a lens array performed better than a ...

An Underwater Wireless Power Transfer System With Improved Misalignment Tolerance

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics
An underwater wireless power transfer (WPT) system is proposed in this article for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to mitigate the influence of axial misalignment.

High-Misalignment Tolerant Compensation Topology For ICPT Systems

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2012
Inductively coupled power transfer systems (ICPT) are an interesting alternative to conductive solutions for vehicle battery charge, particularly in electric public transport applications if operator-free fast charge is required along the route. To perform this task using ICPT systems, current solutions require an almost perfect alignment between coils

A CC IPT hybrid topology with High Misalignment Tolerant

2021 IEEE 12th Energy Conversion Congress & Exposition - Asia (ECCE-Asia), 2021
This paper introduced a kind of wireless power transmission system with misalignment tolerance, which integrates the advantages of traditional bilateral LCC compensation and SS compensation to make the system work normally under the condition of misalignment.
