Incorporating familial risk, lifestyle factors, and pharmacogenomic insights into personalized noncommunicable disease (NCD) reports for healthcare funder beneficiaries participating in the Open Genome Project

open access: yesAnnals of Human Genetics, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction An ethics‐guided decision‐making framework was developed for applying pathology‐supported genetic testing, a multifaceted pharmacodiagnostic approach that translates population risk stratification into clinical utility. We introduce this service, supported by the Open Genome Project, which aligns with the beneficence principle in ...

Diagnostic approach and transpalatal extraction of a chronic nasopharyngeal ballistic foreign body in a cat

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 1, March 2025.
Abstract A 4‐year‐old, female, neutered, domestic shorthair cat was referred for treatment of acute worsening of chronic upper respiratory signs after radiographic diagnosis of a metallic foreign body in the nasopharynx before referral. Computed tomography confirmed the presence of a metallic airgun pellet in the nasopharynx and shrapnel in the nasal ...

Automatic planetary defense Deflecting NEOs by missiles shot from L1 and L3 (Earth-Moon) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We develop the mathematical theory for an automatic, space-based system to deflect NEOs by virtue of missiles shot from the Earth-Moon L1 and L3 Lagrangian Points. A patent application has been filed for the relevant code dubbed AsterOFF (=Asteroids OFF !). This code was already implemented, and a copyright for it was registered.
