Abstract After laying out the missiology that pervades Vatican Council II, this chapter traces the developments in that missiology’s reception in the years since, employing Robert J. Schreiter’s scheme of a move from a time of certainty of missionary thinking and practice, to one of ferment, crisis, and rebirth and renewal.
