Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Missional parenting and missional fatherhood as a buffer against father absence and fatherlessness in South Africa [PDF]

open access: yesDiversitate si Identitate Culturala in Europa
This paper focuses on missional parenting and fatherhood. In the 21st century, families are undergoing multiple crises, with many of them experiencing the absence of a fatherly presence. As a result, numerous missiologists emphasise the role of church as

Christian fathers as role models of the church’s fulfillment of the Missio Dei in a fatherless society

open access: yesMissionalia: Southern African Journal of Missiology, 2019
Families remain the world’s oldest, most basic form of relationship. However, in the 21st century, families are undergoing multiple crises. The fact cannot be ignored that numerous families experience no fatherly presence. Several missiologists emphasise

Exploiting the Functionality of Cerium Oxide‐Modified Carbon Nanohorns Catalysts Toward Enhanced CO2 Reduction Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A cerium oxide‐carbon nanohybrid catalyst is synthesized via two distinct routes and is integrated into H‐type cells and gas diffusion layers (GDLs) to enhance electrochemical performance. Structural variations significantly affect performance, with the solvothermal sample exhibiting higher current densities.

Mission and Missiology as Vulnerability: A Qualitative Study [PDF]

open access: yesPharos Journal of Theology
The spirituality of South Korean missionaries is currently in crisis. A survey conducted by the Korean Research Institute for Mission (KRIM) in 2015 revealed that 61.2% of participants acknowledged a lack of spirituality and expressed the need for ...

Modulating Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Pathways via Interfacial Electric Field

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering interfacial electric fields in Cu/ITO electrodes enables precise control of CO2 reduction pathways. Charge transfer from Cu to ITO generates positively charged Cu species that steer selectivity from ethylene toward methane. This work demonstrates how interfacial electric‐field modulation can direct reaction intermediates and transform ...

On‐Surface Indigo‐Based Bimolecular Coordination Networks with Programmable Regular or Vitreous Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...
