Measuring Communication Quality of Interest Rate Announcements [PDF]

open access: yesThe Economists' Voice, 20(1), 2023, 43-53
We use text-mining techniques to measure the accessibility and quality of information within the texts of interest rate announcements published by the Bank of Israel over the past decade. We find that comprehension of interest rate announcements published by the Bank of Israel requires fewer years of education than interest rate announcements published

Public Announcement Logic in Geometric Frameworks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
In this paper we introduce public announcement logic in different geometric frameworks. First, we consider topological models, and then extend our discussion to a more expressive model, namely, subset space models. Furthermore, we prove the completeness of public announcement logic in those frameworks. Moreover, we apply our results to different issues:

Asynchronous Announcements [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We propose a multi-agent epistemic logic of asynchronous announcements, where truthful announcements are publicly sent but individually received by agents, and in the order in which they were sent. Additional to epistemic modalities the logic contains dynamic modalities for making announcements and for receiving them.

The Need Of Trustworthy Announcements To Achieve Driving Comfort [PDF]

open access: yes
An Intelligent Transport System (ITS) is more demanding nowadays and it can be achieved through deploying Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs). Vehicles and Roadside Units (RSUs) exchange traffic events. Malicious drivers generate false events. Thus, they need to be identified to maintain trustworthy communication.

Lower Bound for the Communication Complexity of the Russian Cards Problem [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
In this paper it is shown that no public announcement scheme that can be modeled in Dynamic Epistemic Logic (DEL) can solve the Russian Cards Problem (RCP) in one announcement. Since DEL is a general model for any public announcement scheme we conclude that there exist no single announcement solution to the RCP.

Assembly ASM291031v2 (Genbank: GCA_002910315.2) identified as assembly of the Northern Dolly Varden (Salvelinus malma malma) genome, and not the Arctic char (S. alpinus) genome [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
To date, twelve complete genomes representing eleven species belonging to six genera have been sequenced in salmonids. For the genus Salvelinus, it was supposed to sequence the genome of Arctic char, one of the most variable species of vertebrate animals.

SPM Bulletin 4 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
This issue of the SPM Bulletin announces two conferences which are of interest to anyone working in SPM or general topology. In the second announced conference it is planned to have a significant part devoted to SPM. Those who are interested in participating should contact Ljubisa D. R.

Public Announcements in Strategic Games with Arbitrary Strategy Sets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
In [Van Benthem 2007] the concept of a public announcement is used to study the effect of the iterated elimination of strictly dominated strategies. We offer a simple generalisation of this approach to cover arbitrary strategic games and many optimality notions. We distinguish between announcements of optimality and announcements of rationality.
