Dynamic expression of lamin B1 during adult neurogenesis in the vertebrate brain
Abstract Background In mammals, specific brain regions such as the dentate gyrus (DG) of the hippocampus and the subventricular zone (SVZ) of the lateral ventricles harbor adult neural stem/progenitor cells (ANSPCs) that give rise to new neurons and contribute to structural and functional brain plasticity.

Hair was sampled in a noninvasive manner from free‐living brown bears in Alaska and processed for genetic identification and stable isotopes. These data revealed great individual variation in bear reliance on salmon, despite being sampled along streams full of salmon.

Assessment of oxygen consumption rates in young, middle‐aged, and old flies from the Drosophila B lines and long‐lived O lines revealed a significant increase in metabolic rate with aging only in B flies. Lisinopril prevented the age‐related rise in metabolic rate in B female flies.

As flies age, their photoreceptor transcriptome is extensively reprogrammed, with about 40% of genes undergoing rhythmic expression changes. These transcriptional changes are accompanied by altered RNA Polymerase II occupancy, chromatin accessibility, and H3K4 methylation, without major changes to the occupancy of the core clock transcription factors ...

Beyond Total PSA: Clinical Significance of S2,3PSA% in Reducing Unnecessary Prostate Biopsies
ABSTRACT Prostate‐specific antigen (PSA) testing has long been central to prostate cancer detection but is limited by poor specificity, resulting in overdiagnosis and unnecessary prostate biopsies. Although PSA derivatives such as percentage free PSA and the Prostate Health Index (PHI) have improved diagnostic performance, substantial uncertainty ...

Miura Transformation and S-Matrix
The Miura transformations [numerical formula], m>0 are explicitly represented in terms of the scattering data of the 1-dimensional Schrodinger operators [numerical formula] with the rapidly decreasing potentials u±(x) and the 1-dimensional Dirac operator [numerical formula] with the step type potential v(x) such that lim_ v(x)=±m.
