2009 27th IEEE VLSI Test Symposium, 2009Programmable mixed-mode BIST schemes combine pseudo-random pattern testing and deterministic test. This paper presents a synthesis technique for a mixed-mode BIST scheme which is able to exploit the regularities of a deterministic test pattern set for minimizing the hardware overhead and memory requirements.

Automatic mixed-mode timing simulation
1989 IEEE International Conference on Computer-Aided Design. Digest of Technical Papers, 2003A novel technique is introduced for automatically performing mixed-mode timing simulation of MOS circuits. A SPICE2 circuit description is assumed to be given, the circuit is first partitioned into channel-connected subcircuits. Each subcircuit is then examined and is statically classified as digital or analog if one of many configurations is detected.

Computer-Aided Design, 1992Abstract Mixed-mode simulation is a compromise between an accurate and expensive modelling technique (that solves circuit equations), and a less accurate, but cheaper, technique (that manipulates a finite algebra). The combination of these modelling regimes requires a mapping between two ‘state vectors’ that is neither unique nor context-independent.
