Anomaly in Open Quantum Systems and its Implications on Mixed-State Quantum Phases [PDF]
In this paper, we develop a systematic approach to characterize the ^{′}t Hooft anomaly in open quantum systems. Owing to nontrivial couplings to the environment, symmetries in such systems manifest as either strong or weak type.

On exotic consistent anomalies in (1+1)$d$: A ghost story [PDF]
We revisit 't Hooft anomalies in (1+1)$d$ non-spin quantum field theory, starting from the consistency and locality conditions, and find that consistent U(1) and gravitational anomalies cannot always be canceled by properly quantized (2+1)$d$ classical ...

Gravitational anomalies of fermionic higher-spin fields [PDF]
Using the Atiyah-Singer index theorem, we formally compute gravitational anomalies for fermionic higher-spin fields in two, six and ten dimensions, as well as the U(1) mixed gauge-gravitational anomaly in four dimensions.

3d one-form mixed anomaly and entanglement entropy [PDF]
We study mixed anomaly between G 1 and G 2 of one-form finite symmetry G 1 × G 2 in 3d Chern-Simons theories. We assign a quantum entanglement structure to two linked G-symmetry lines (Wilson loops) and compute the entanglement entropy S[G].

Non-invertible self-duality defects of Cardy-Rabinovici model and mixed gravitational anomaly [PDF]
We study properties of self-duality symmetry in the Cardy-Rabinovici model. The Cardy-Rabinovici model is the 4d U(1) gauge theory with electric and magnetic matters, and it enjoys the SL(2, ℤ) self-duality at low-energies. SL(2, ℤ) self-duality does not

Supersymmetric Calculation of Mixed KäHLER-Gauge and Mixed KäHLER-Lorentz Anomalies [PDF]
We present a manifestly supersymmetric procedure for calculating the contributions from matter loops to the mixed K\"{a}hler-gauge and to the mixed K\"{a}hler- Lorentz anomalies in $N=1, D=4$ supergravity-matter systems. We show how this procedure leads to the well-known result for the mixed K\"{a}hler-gauge anomaly.

Mixed modulus and anomaly mediation in light of the muon g − 2 anomaly [PDF]
The new measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of muon at the Fermilab Muon g − 2 experiment has strengthened the significance of the discrepancy between the standard model prediction and the experimental observation from the BNL measurement.

Mixed-State Quantum Anomaly and Multipartite Entanglement [PDF]
Quantum entanglement measures of many-body states have been increasingly useful to characterize phases of matter. Here, we explore a surprising connection between mixed-state entanglement and ’t Hooft anomaly.

Condensates and anomaly cascade in vector-like theories [PDF]
We study the bilinear and higher-order fermion condensates in 4-dimensional SU(N) gauge theories with a single Dirac fermion in a general representation.

A non-perturbative mixed anomaly and fractional hydrodynamic transport [PDF]
We present a new non-perturbative ’t Hooft anomaly afflicting a quantum field theory with symmetry group G = U(1) × ℤ2 in four dimensions. We use the Adams spectral sequence to compute that the bordism group $${\Omega }_{5}^{{\text{Spin}}}$$ (BG), which ...
