Anomaly Matching and Symmetry-Protected Critical Phases in SU(N) Spin Systems in 1+1 Dimensions. [PDF]
We study (1+1)-dimensional SU(N) spin systems in the presence of global SU(N) rotation and lattice translation symmetries. Knowing the mixed anomaly of the two symmetries at low energy, we identify, by the anomaly matching argument, a topological index ...

Smart Rubber Extrusion Line Combining Multiple Sensor Techniques for AI‐Based Process Control
This publication presents a digitalization approach for a laboratory rubber extrusion line, employing innovative measurement methods and artificial intelligence (AI)‐based process control. The results demonstrate that the measurement systems are capable of detecting changes in the process and extrudate quality.

Mixed axial-gravitational anomaly from emergent curved spacetime in nonlinear charge transport [PDF]
In 3+1 dimensional spacetime, two vector gauge anomalies are known: The chiral anomaly and the mixed axial-gravitational anomaly. While the former is well documented and tied to the presence of a magnetic field, the latter instead requires a nonzero spacetime curvature, which has made it rather difficult to study.

Anomalies for Galilean fields [PDF]
We initiate a systematic study of `t Hooft anomalies in Galilean field theories, focusing on two questions therein. In the first, we consider the non-relativistic theories obtained from a discrete light-cone quantization (DLCQ) of a relativistic theory with flavor or gravitational anomalies. We find that these anomalies survive the DLCQ, becoming mixed

Anomalous Paramagnetic Magnetization in Mixed State of CeCoIn$_5$ single crystals
Magnetization and torque measurements were performed on CeCoIn$_5$ single crystals to study the mixed-state thermodynamics. These measurements allow the determination of both paramagnetic and vortex responses in the mixed-state magnetization.

Moduli Stabilization and Supersymmetry Breaking in Deflected Mirage Mediation [PDF]
We present a model of supersymmetry breaking in which the contributions from gravity/modulus, anomaly, and gauge mediation are all comparable. We term this scenario "deflected mirage mediation," which is a generalization of the KKLT-motivated mirage ...

Additive manufacturing of magnesium alloys by laser is difficult because the melting point of the oxide layer is much higher than the evaporation temperature of the metal underneath. Making the oxide layer thinner can solve this problem. Alloying magnesium with strontium makes the oxide layer thinner, especially at 0.5 wt%.

New Signals of Quark-Gluon-Hadron Mixed Phase Formation
Here we present several remarkable irregularities at chemical freeze-out which are found using an advanced version of the hadron resonance gas model. The most prominent of them are the sharp peak of the trace anomaly existing at chemical freeze-out at ...
