Global Anomalies and Effective Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We show that matching anomalies under large gauge transformations and large diffeomorphisms can explain the appearance and non-renormalization of couplings in effective field theory. We focus on thermal effective field theory where we argue that the appearance of certain unusual Chern-Simons couplings is a consequence of global anomalies. As an example,

Spatially modulated instabilities of holographic gauge-gravitational anomaly

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We performed a study of the perturbative instabilities in Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory with a gravitational Chern-Simons term, which is dual to a strongly coupled field theory with both chiral and mixed gauge-gravitational anomaly.

CurvGAD: Leveraging Curvature for Enhanced Graph Anomaly Detection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Does the intrinsic curvature of complex networks hold the key to unveiling graph anomalies that conventional approaches overlook? Reconstruction-based graph anomaly detection (GAD) methods overlook such geometric outliers, focusing only on structural and attribute-level anomalies.

Fermion masses and flavor mixings and strong CP problem

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
For all the success of the Standard Model (SM), it is on the verge of being surpassed. In this regard we argue, by showing a minimal flavor-structured model based on the non-Abelian discrete SL2(F3) symmetry, that U(1) mixed-gravitational anomaly ...

Anomaly of subsystem symmetries in exotic and foliated BF theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the mixed ’t Hooft anomaly of the subsystem symmetries in the exotic BF theory and the foliated BF theory in 2+1 dimensions, both of which are fractonic quantum field theories describing the equivalent physics.

Splenogonadal fusion: A rare case report and literature review

open access: yesUrology Case Reports, 2020
Splenogonadal fusion is a rare benign congenital anomaly with few cases described in the literature. It is 16 times more common in males than in females.
