ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Pulmonary hypertension associated with connective tissue disease

open access: yesIndian Journal of Rheumatology, 2017
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in connective tissue diseases (CTDs). CTDs may cause PH due to several mechanisms; pulmonary arterial hypertension, associated interstitial lung disease, neuromuscular disease ...

Targeting the AKT/mTOR pathway attenuates the metastatic potential of colorectal carcinoma circulating tumor cells in a murine xenotransplantation model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Tenomodulin expression in the periodontal ligament enhances cellular adhesion. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Tenomodulin (Tnmd) is a type II transmembrane protein characteristically expressed in dense connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments. Its expression in the periodontal ligament (PDL) has also been demonstrated, though the timing and function ...

TopSpace: spatial topic modeling for unsupervised discovery of multicellular spatial tissue structures in multiplex imaging [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Motivation: Understanding the spatial architecture of tissues is essential for decoding the complex interactions within cellular ecosystems and their implications for disease pathology and clinical outcomes. Recent advances in multiplex imaging technologies have enabled high-resolution profiling of cellular phenotypes and their spatial distributions ...
