Mixed-dentition analysis in a Turkish population.
World journal of orthodontics, 2009To study the reliability of the Tanaka-Johnston mixed-dentition analysis in Turkish individuals and develop a new population-adjusted regression equation for predicting the size of unerupted canines and premolars. The new regression equations were tested to establish their validity in Turkish children. The mesiodistal dimensions of teeth on study casts ...

A method of mixed dentition analysis in the mandible.
ASDC journal of dentistry for children, 1987We developed a method of space analysis based on the fact that the measurement between the distal surfaces of the mandibular permanent lateral incisors was approximately equal to that of the combined widths of the mandibular permanent canine and premolars. This method is referred to as Interlateral Incisor Width (I.L.I.W.) Analysis.

Mixed dentition analysis in a Moroccan population.
Odonto-stomatologie tropicale = Tropical dental journal, 2005The aims of this study were to produce odontometric data for a Moroccan population, to test Tanaka and Johnston and Moyers methods, to derive regression equations and elaborate a specific orthodontic prediction table for Moroccan children. 50 dental casts of Moroccan students (25 males, 25 females, mean age 22.6 years sd 1.35) were used to perform ...

An analysis of the Carabelli trait in the mixed deciduous and permanent human dentition
Archives of Oral Biology, 1984Permanent first and deciduous second maxillary molars were examined on dental casts of 240 persons. A high degree of equivalence of Carabelli-trait expression between deciduous and permanent molars was demonstrated using the Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-rank test and chi-square tests.

[Mixed dentition space analysis in a eastern Sicilian population].
Minerva stomatologica, 2003The purposes of this study are: 1) predicting the sum of mesio-distal crown diameters of unerupted canines, first and second premolars, using the sum of mesio-distal diameters of lower permanent incisors, in a sample of Eastern Sicily population; 2) estimating the differences between our predictions and the ones developed by Tanaka & Johnston, by ...
