Mixed Duopoly with Motivated Teachers [PDF]
I study the self-selection of motivated teachers between public and private schools in a mixed duopoly environment. The quality is influenced by the effort exerted by the teachers. Teachers' motivation may have a positive impact on the levels of effort and, then, on the quality. The effect of motivation strictly depends on the degree of differentiation

Price Competition in a Mixed Duopoly [PDF]
We analyze sequential and simultaneous price setting under a mixed duopoly with homogeneous products and symmetric quadratic cost functions. When public firm is the follower, there exists the case that the equilibrium price is highest of all timings.

Product differentiation in a mixed duopoly [PDF]
This paper analyzes a mixed duopoly with horizontal product differentiation using the unconstrained Hotelling model with quadratic transport costs. Firms play a noncooperative two-stage game on locations (first stage) and prices (second stage), and we consider that the firms move simultaneously or sequentially in both stages.
