Estimation in Generalized Mixed Models
SUMMARY Regression models containing fixed and random effects may have a response variable which is not normally distributed. The generalized mixed model includes both discrete and continuous response variables and is developed here for problems in which the regression variables enter linearly into the model.

ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

ABSTRACT Background Psychological safety (PS) is essential for teamwork, communication, and patient safety in complex healthcare environments. In pediatric oncology, interprofessional collaboration occurs under high emotional and organizational demands. Low PS may increase stress, burnout, and adverse events.

Metric Indices for Performance Evaluation of a Mixed Measurement based State Estimator
With the development of synchronized phasor measurement technology in recent years, it gains great interest the use of PMU measurements to improve state estimation performances due to their synchronized characteristics and high data transmission speed ...

Bayesian Estimation of Mixing Distributions
Let $\mathscr{Q} = \{Q(t): 0 \leqq t \leqq 1\}$ be a family of probability distributions on the positive integers parameterized on [0, 1], that is \begin{equation*}\tag{1} P_t(X = x) = q_x(t);\quad x = 1,2,\cdots.\end{equation*} If $G$ is a distribution on $\lbrack 0, 1\rbrack$ the distribution of $X$ is a $G$-mixture over $\mathscr{Q}$ if \begin ...

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

DFT-Based Channel Estimation with Symmetric Extension for OFDMA Systems
A novel partial frequency response channel estimator is proposed for OFDMA systems. First, the partial frequency response is obtained by least square (LS) method.

Background Collinearity is a common and problematic phenomenon in studies on public health. It leads to inflation in variance of estimator and reduces test power. This phenomenon can occur in any model.
