Mixed Bruhat operators and Yang-Baxter equations for Weyl groups
We introduce and study a family of operators which act in the span of a Weyl group $W$ and provide a multi-parameter solution to the quantum Yang-Baxter equations of the corresponding type.

Students' Experiences of Ability Grouping - disaffection, polarisation and the construction of failure [PDF]
This paper reports findings from the first two years of a four-year longitudinal study into the ways that students' attitudes towards, and achievement in, mathematics are influenced by ability-grouping practices in six schools.

Straightening rule for an $m'$-truncated polynomial ring
We consider a certain quotient of a polynomial ring categorified by both the isomorphic Green rings of the symmetric groups and Schur algebras generated by the signed Young permutation modules and mixed powers respectively.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Let \(G\) be a totally minimal group, i.e., there does not exist a strictly coarser Hausdorff group topology on \(G\). The author associates to any representation on \(G\) an enveloping semigroup that is weakly almost periodic; hence semigroup theory may be used.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

The Two-Loop Infrared Structure of Amplitudes with Mixed Gauge Groups
The infrared structure of (multi-loop) scattering amplitudes is determined entirely by the identities of the external particles participating in the scattering. The two-loop infrared structure of pure \qcd\ amplitudes has been known for some time.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Grouping & regrouping using Mixintools: An exploratory study [PDF]
On a regular basis, teachers find it necessary to place children into groups for instruction. Random assignment is typically the norm when group composition is immaterial to the task.
