Disjunctive cuts in Mixed-Integer Conic Optimization
This paper studies disjunctive cutting planes in Mixed-Integer Conic Programming. Building on conic duality, we formulate a cut-generating conic program for separating disjunctive cuts, and investigate the impact of the normalization condition on its resolution. In particular, we show that a careful selection of normalization guarantees its solvability

Automatic instantiation of a Variable Neighborhood Descent from a Mixed Integer Programming model
In this paper we describe the automatic instantiation of a Variable Neighborhood Descent procedure from a Mixed Integer Programming model. We extend a recent approach in which a single neighborhood structure is automatically designed from a Mixed Integer

Integration of scheduling and control can improve the overall performance of a manufacturing process. However, the integration leads to a mixed-integer dynamic optimization problem (MIDO), which could be challenging to solve. We propose a novel algorithm

We introduce the idea that using optimal classification trees (OCTs) and optimal classification trees with-hyperplanes (OCT-Hs), interpretable machine learning algorithms developed by Bertsimas and Dunn [2017, 2018], we are able to obtain insight on the ...

A mixed-integer approximation of robust optimization problems with mixed-integer adjustments
AbstractIn the present article we propose a mixed-integer approximation of adjustable-robust optimization problems, that have both, continuous and discrete variables on the lowest level. As these trilevel problems are notoriously hard to solve, we restrict ourselves to weakly-connected instances. Our approach allows us to approximate, and in some cases
