Solving nonlinear optimization problems with bipolar fuzzy relational equation constraints
This paper considers the problem of minimizing a nonlinear objective function subject to a system of bipolar fuzzy relational equations with max- T L $T_{L}$ composition, where T L $T_{L}$ is the Łukasiewicz triangular norm.

IDOL: A web application for mixed integer linear multiobjective optimization
Practical decision-making very often results in complex multiobjective optimization problems that can be solved only by advanced software. At present, it is available for singleobjective optimization and much less for multiobjective optimization ...

A parametric integer programming algorithm for bilevel mixed integer programs [PDF]
We consider discrete bilevel optimization problems where the follower solves an integer program with a fixed number of variables. Using recent results in parametric integer programming, we present polynomial time algorithms for pure and mixed integer ...

Optimal STATCOM Allocation Using Mixed Integer Distributed Ant Colony Optimization
This paper presents a novel optimization approach to find the optimal STATCOM installation in the power system using Mixed Integer Distributed Ant Colony optimization (MIDACO). The proposed method is mathematically formulated based on minimizing the Voltage Deviation Index (VDI) and the installation cost of STATCOM.

Lifting Linear Extension Complexity Bounds to the Mixed-Integer Setting
Mixed-integer mathematical programs are among the most commonly used models for a wide set of problems in Operations Research and related fields. However, there is still very little known about what can be expressed by small mixed-integer programs.

Integrating advanced discrete choice models in mixed integer linear optimization
The integration of customer behavioral models in operations research (OR) is appealing to operators and policy makers (the supply) because it provides a better understanding of the preferences of customers (the demand) while planning for their systems ...

Optimal training of integer-valued neural networks with mixed integer programming
Recent work has shown potential in using Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) solvers to optimize certain aspects of neural networks (NNs). However the intriguing approach of training NNs with MIP solvers is under-explored. State-of-the-art-methods to train NNs are typically gradient-based and require significant data, computation on GPUs, and extensive ...
