Mirikizumab pharmacokinetics and exposure–response in pediatric patients with moderate‐to‐severe ulcerative colitis

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 474-485, March 2025.
Abstract Mirikizumab is a p19‐directed anti‐interleukin‐23 antibody approved for the treatment of adults with moderate‐to‐severe ulcerative colitis (UC). Here, we report the first data of mirikizumab pharmacokinetics (PK) and exposure–response (E/R) relationships in pediatric participants (aged 2 to <18 years weighing >10 kg) with moderate‐to‐severe UC

Can Patient Education Lead the Way? Head‐To‐Head Comparison of EXACT and CERT for Early Recognition of Acute COPD Exacerbations

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
Daily head‐to‐head comparison of EXACT vs. CERT for early detection of acute COPD exacerbations. Both tools accurately identified exacerbations at diagnosis (AUC≈0.9), but CERT detected worsening one day earlier (p = 0.006). CERT's simplicity and free access support rapid patient self‐monitoring and may enable timely intervention.

Assessing Regional Variation in the Relationships Between Local Stream Characteristics and Culvert Barrier Attributes Relative to Fish Passage

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stream fragmentation is a leading threat to freshwater fish diversity and is often caused by the installation of impassable culverts at road–stream crossings. In the United States alone, millions of culverts contribute to this fragmentation. Therefore, estimating culvert barrier impact on aquatic organism passage and prioritizing barriers for ...
