Extension of Mixed‐Mode Fatigue Cracks in Steel Samples
Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics, 2004Experimental studies of the extension of mixed‐mode fatigue cracks were performed on rail steel samples. The direction of growth of fatigue cracks was studied for three types of loading: alternate transverse shear and transverse and longitudinal shears under compressing stresses.

Effects of Mixed Mode and Mode II Overloads on Mode I Fatigue Crack Growth
1987Damage caused by fatigue crack growth occurs in several machines and plant components. In order to give an accurate prediction of fatigue lives or inspection intervalls the influence of variable amplitude loading respectively of single peek overloads under mixed mode and mode II must be understood.
