Enhancing hyperspectral image unmixing with spatial correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper describes a new algorithm for hyperspectral image unmixing. Most unmixing algorithms proposed in the literature do not take into account the possible spatial correlations between the pixels.

Unsupervised autoencoder detection with a local context-based correction for mixed pixels in thermal images

open access: yesSmart Agricultural Technology
Thermal imaging is important in areas like precision agriculture, surveillance, and remote sensing because it gives temperature-based information for monitoring environmental conditions. However, mixed pixels often reduce the accuracy of analysis in many

Mixed pixel return separation for a full-field ranger

open access: yes, 2008
Full-field amplitude modulated continuous wave range imagers commonly suffer from the mixed pixel problem. This problem is caused by the integration of light from multiple sources by a single pixel, particularly around the edges of objects, resulting in ...

Quantifying Sub-Pixel Surface Water Coverage in Urban Environments Using Low-Albedo Fraction from Landsat Imagery

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2017
The problem of mixed pixels negatively affects the delineation of accurate surface water in Landsat Imagery. Linear spectral unmixing has been demonstrated to be a powerful technique for extracting surface materials at a sub-pixel scale.

Residual component analysis of hyperspectral images - Application to joint nonlinear unmixing and nonlinearity detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper presents a nonlinear mixing model for joint hyperspectral image unmixing and nonlinearity detection. The proposed model assumes that the pixel reflectances are linear combinations of known pure spectral components corrupted by an additional ...

Multiple return separation for a full-field ranger via continuous waveform modelling

open access: yes, 2009
We present two novel Poisson noise Maximum Likelihood based methods for identifying the individual returns within mixed pixels for Amplitude Modulated Continuous Wave rangers.

Spatial Resolution Requirements for the Application of Temperature and Emissivity Separation (TES) Algorithm Over Urban Areas

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2022
Current thermal infrared satellite images are full of mixed pixels. This work is a quantitative analysis, based on radiative transfer modelling, of the distribution of mixed pixels and their impact on the use of temperature and emissivity separation (TES)

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

A method for identifying surface contamination components of composite insulators based on hyperspectral imaging

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
The surface contamination components of composite insulators significantly influence the pollution flashover voltage. To develop a more efficient and practical method for identifying typical contamination components, this paper proposes a hyperspectral ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
