Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGE RESOLUTION ENHANCEMENT BASED ON SPECTRAL UNMIXING AND INFORMATION FUSION [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2012
Hyperspectral imaging sensors exibit high spectral resolution, but normally low spatial resolution. This leads to spectral signatures of pixels originating from different object types. Such pixels are called mixed pixels. Spectral unmixing methods can be

The identification of sub-pixel components from remotely sensed data: an evaluation of an artificial neural network approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Until recently, methodologies to extract sub-pixel information from remotely sensed data have focused on linear un-mixing models and so called fuzzy classifiers.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Assessment of MODIS, MERIS, GEOV1 FPAR Products over Northern China with Ground Measured Data and by Analyzing Residential Effect in Mixed Pixel

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2014
Fraction of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FPAR) is a critical parameter in land surface energy balance and climate modeling. Several global FPAR products are available, but these still require considerable assessment and validation due to low ...

Unmixing of Hyperspectral Data Using Spectral Libraries

open access: yesInternational Journal of Environment and Geoinformatics, 2020
In hyperspectral images, pixels are found as a mixture of the spectral signatures of several materials, especially when there is an insufficient spatial resolution.

Optimization of desert lake information extraction from remote sensing images using cellular automata

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology, 2023
Desert lakes are important wetland resources in the blown-sand area of western China and play a significant role in maintaining the regional ecological environment. However, large-scale coal mining in recent years has considerably impacted the deposition

Closed-form inverses for the mixed pixel/multipath interference problem in AMCW lidar

open access: yes, 2012
We present two new closed-form methods for mixed pixel/multipath interference separation in AMCW lidar systems. The mixed pixel/multipath interference problem arises from the violation of a standard range-imaging assumption that each pixel integrates ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Performance analysis of maximum likelihood and artificial neural network classifiers for training sets with mixed pixels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
WOS: 000258730900004This study evaluates the performance of an artificial neural network, specifically a multilayer perceptron, and a maximum likelihood algorithm to classify multitemporal Landsat ETM+ remote sensor data.
