A mixed refrigerant cycle for providing refrigeration below 70 k for superconducting applications
Indian Journal of Cryogenics, 2014There is worldwide interest in the development of mixed refrigerant cycle refrigerators and liquefiers. Most studies till date have been at temperatures greater than 70 K. However, there is a need for refrigerators working below 70 K for use in superconducting transformers, motors, generators and cables.

The Preliminary Study on Mixed Refrigerants of a Four-Stage Auto-Cascade Refrigeration
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013A four-stage auto-cascade refrigeration cycle is presented in this paper, the kind of mixed refrigerants is chosen and the proportion is simulated by using the commercial software NIST8.0 software. The optimized proportion of mixed refrigerants is gained through experiment, a method which combining software simulation and experiment to define mixed ...

Optimization of Refrigerant Composition of Low-Temperature Stage of Dual Mixed Refrigerant Cycle
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, 2018The results of optimization of low-temperature refrigerant composition in dual mixed refrigerant cycle by mathematical-analytical method using performance data for increasing liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and decreasing specific energy consumption are reported. The flow diagram of the LNG cycle with dual mixed refrigerant is presented.

Properties of Gas Mixtures and Their Use in Mixed-Refrigerant Joule-Thomson Refrigerators
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2004The Joule‐Thomson (J‐T) effect has been widely used for achieving low temperatures. In the past few years, much progress has been made in better understanding the working mechanism of the refrigeration method and in developing prototypes for different applications. In this talk, there are three aspects of our research work to be discussed.
