Microfluidic mixing using contactless dielectrophoresis

ELECTROPHORESIS, 2011
AbstractThe first experimental evidence of mixing enhancement in a microfluidic system using contactless dielectrophoresis (cDEP) is presented in this work. Pressure‐driven flow of deionized water containing 0.5 μm beads was mixed in various chamber geometries by imposing a dielectrophoresis (DEP) force on the beads.

Using hot-mixed concrete

Batiment International, Building Research and Practice, 1977
As a development of steam curing, some precasting methods now inject steam into the mixers, obviating the need for expensive moulds and reducing curing time. Some of the pitfalls have been examined at Chalmers University, Gothenburg, through a research grant from the Swedish Council for Building Research, and are reported in its Research Summary S46 ...

Problem, research strategy, and findings: Around the globe, streets and sidewalks in cities are being contested as spaces that should be used for more than transportation. This article challenges our understanding of both property rights and public space by applying a property rights framework to situate sidewalk use debates.
