International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1995The ability to recognize and classify horseshoe generated structures is important in mixing problems. In this paper, we develop techniques to study higher iterations of horseshoe maps, by exploiting a method for representing them in a convenient mathematical notation.

Microfluidic mixing using contactless dielectrophoresis
ELECTROPHORESIS, 2011AbstractThe first experimental evidence of mixing enhancement in a microfluidic system using contactless dielectrophoresis (cDEP) is presented in this work. Pressure‐driven flow of deionized water containing 0.5 μm beads was mixed in various chamber geometries by imposing a dielectrophoresis (DEP) force on the beads.
