Iron zircon pigment synthesis: Proposal of a mixing index for the raw materials mixtures
Iron zircon coral pigments are very interesting from an industrial point of view because of their high colouring power and their stability at high temperatures.

Approximating class approach for empirical processes of dependent sequences indexed by functions
We study weak convergence of empirical processes of dependent data $(X_i)_{i\geq0}$, indexed by classes of functions. Our results are especially suitable for data arising from dynamical systems and Markov chains, where the central limit theorem for ...

Index and Robustness of Mixed Equilibria: An Algebraic Approach
We present a new method for computation of the index of completely mixed equilibria in finite games, based on the work of Eisenbud et al.(1977). We apply this method to solving two questions about the relation of the index of equilibria and the index of fixed points, and the index of equilibria and payoff-robustness: any integer can be the index of an ...

Upper and lower bounds for the mixed degree-Kirchhoff index
We introduce the mixed degree-Kirchhoff index, a new molecular descriptor defined by R^(G) = ?i<j(di/dj+dj/di)Rij, where di is the degree of the vertex i and Rij is the effective resistance between vertices i and j. We give general upper and lower bounds for bR(G) and show that, unlike other related descriptors, it attains its largest ...

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Photon Pair Generation with Tailored Frequency Correlations in Graded-Index Multimode Optical Fibers
We study theoretically the generation of photon pairs with controlled spectral correlations via the four-wave mixing (FWM) process in graded-index multimode optical fibers (GIMFs).
