Phytoplankton Bloom Changes During Three Regime Shifts Derived From Sea Ice Concentration in the Ross Sea

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 131, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Sea Ice Concentration (SIC) plays an important role in the Antarctic polynyas, especially where biological interactions through changes in chlorophyll‐a concentration (CHL) phenology are concerned. To specifically understand how much SIC change affects CHL in the Ross Sea polynya (RSP), the regime shift index (RSI) was applied to the SIC ...

Surgical Interventions in Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension—A Comprehensive Multi‐Center Study of Outcome and the Role of Treatment Indication

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 3, March 2026.
In this multicenter retrospective study of idiopathic intracranial hypertension, only 3.6% of patients required surgery, predominantly for acute visual deterioration. Both cerebrospinal fluid diversion and optic nerve sheath fenestration were effective in improving visual outcomes and resolving papilledema, while headache improvement was limited ...

Microbial and Genomic Information Synergistically Contribute to Predicting Swine Performance Across Production Systems

open access: yesJournal of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Volume 143, Issue 2, Page 256-272, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Microbiota composition represents a promising tool in precision farming, simultaneously serving as a benchmark of environmental challenge, a predictor of animal physiological status, and a direct target for host selection. In this paper, we compared the ability of microbiota composition and genomic information to predict swine performance in ...

Shock metamorphic effects in Itokawa phosphates: A comparison with megaregolith‐derived meteorites

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 3, Page 351-370, March 2026.
Abstract Returned regolith samples from the asteroid Itokawa provide a unique opportunity to compare shock metamorphic effects in unconsolidated regolith materials with those preserved in lithified meteorites, that is, megaregolith. We analyzed four Itokawa particles (Ueda—RA‐QD02‐0519, Narahara—RA‐QD02‐0573, Domon—RA‐QD02‐0588, Ishiuchi—RX‐MD03‐0212 ...
