Discocelia Plataet Sp. n., a Small Incertae Sedis Cercozoan Flagellate. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Eukaryot Microbiol
ABSTRACT Cercozoa = Filosa (Rhizaria, SAR) is one of the largest rhizarian subgroups and consists of a diverse assemblage of amoeboid and flagellated protists. They are ecologically significant in microbial food webs, widely diverse, and even abundant in soils and deep marine sediments according to environmental sequencing.

Avifauna of the National Park Mljet: Focus on target species and their threats [PDF]

open access: yesLarus : godišnjak Zavoda za ornitologiju Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti
The island of Mljet is located in the southern Adriatic Sea. The island is heavily forested and surrounded by smaller, barren islets. The western part of the island and surrounding sea are declared a National Park and a Special Protection Area (SPA). The research was conducted from April 2007 to June 2024, primarily focusing on five target species: the

Morska fauna Nacionalnoga parka Mljet (Jadransko more, Hrvatska). 3. Brachiopoda [PDF]

open access: yesNatura Croatica : Periodicum Musei Historiae Naturalis Croatici, 2003
Six brachiopod species (1 inarticulate and 5 articulates) are identified and briefly described from Mljet National Park. All are known from the Mediterranean Sea and eastern North Atlantic. The number of taxa is lower than that for the Adriatic Sea (11 species) as a whole, suggesting that further discoveries might be expected in Mljet.

Danji i noćni leptiri zabilježeni na području NP Mljet – rezultati istraživanja iz 2006. godine [PDF]

open access: yesNatura Croatica : Periodicum Musei Historiae Naturalis Croatici, 2009

Marine fauna of the Mljet National Park (Adriatic Sea, Croatia). 1. Anthozoa [PDF]

open access: yesNatura Croatica, 2002
Fifty-two anthozoan species were recorded and collected in the area of Mljet National Park during surveys from 1995 to 1998. General and ecological data are presented for each species, as well as distribution and local abundance. Recorded species account for about 60% of anthozoans known in the Adriatic Sea, and for about 45% of anthozoans known in the

Application of environmental DNA metabarcoding and quantitative PCR to detect blooming jellyfish in a temperate bay of northern China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2023., 2023
We developed eDNA metabarcoding and quantitative PCR for the detection and assessment of jellyfish taxa in the temperate Yantai Sishili Bay (YSB) and estimated the spatial distribution of Aurelia coerulea. Our results demonstrate the potential of two eDNA techniques in jellyfish biomass investigation and jellyfish taxa detecting.

Late Quaternary mud‐dominated, basin‐floor sedimentation of the Gulf of Corinth, Greece: Implications for deep‐water depositional processes and controls on syn‐rift sedimentation

open access: yesBasin Research, Volume 34, Issue 5, Page 1567-1600, October 2022., 2022
Late Quaternary syn‐rift basinal deposits in the Gulf of Corinth, Greece, are analysed using IODP Expedition 381 boreholes. Stratigraphic packages of mud‐dominated deposits record distinct hydrological conditions related to global sea‐level interacting with highs at the ends of the rift, highlight rift segment boundaries as controls on stratigraphy in ...

Population study of the fan shell Pinna nobilis L. in Malo and Veliko Jezero of the Mljet National Park (Adriatic Sea)

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2003
Although previous studies have noted the presence of the bivalve Pinna nobilis Linnaeus, 1758 in Mljet National Park, there is a lack of basic knowledge of this endangered species. The present study was initiated as part of a long-term investigation of P.

Mljet National Park: The Challenge of Conflicting Interpretations

open access: yesTraditiones, 2013
