Flexible Optoelectronic Hybrid Microfiber Long-period Grating Multimodal Sensor. [PDF]
An entirely new optoelectronic hybrid multimodal optical fiber sensor which can simultaneously monitor biomechanics and glucose is demonstrated. The developed method simultaneously integrates two heterogeneous sensing mechanisms, optical and electrical, into a single sensor in a compact manner. Optical and electrical sensors can work simultaneously but

Abstract A novel Hermite radial basis function‐based differential quadrature (H‐RBF‐DQ) method is presented in this paper based on 2D variable order time fractional advection–diffusion equations with Neumann boundary conditions. The proposed method is designed to treat accurately for derivative boundary conditions, which considerably improve the ...

We present a new strong‐form meshless solver combined with the boundary condition‐enforced immersed boundary method for the numerical solution of the nonstationary, incompressible, viscous Navier–Stokes equations in their stream function‐vorticity (in 2D) and vector potential‐vorticity (in 3D) formulation.

In this article, the influence of important parameters on the size‐dependent thermoelastic behavior of functionally graded magneto‐electro‐thermo‐elastic microcylinders (FGMEE) is studied by means of modified stress couple theory and under the influence of combined mechanical‐thermal‐magnetic loads.

Adaptive Numerical Method for Approximation of Traffic Flow Equations
For a long time now, traffic equations have been considered, and different modeling has been done for it. In this article, we work on the macroscopic model, especially the most famous light model. Because these models are among the stiff and shocking problems, theoretical methods do not give good answers to these problems.

Fracture and Fatigue Analyses of Cracked Structures Using the Iterative Method
It is a quite challenging subject to efficiently perform fracture and fatigue analyses for complex structures with cracks in engineering. To precisely and efficiently study crack problems in practical engineering, an iterative method is developed in this study.

In this article, a new sinusoidal shear deformation theory was developed for static bending analysis of functionally graded plates resting on elastic foundations. The proposed theory used an undefined integral term to reduce the number of the unknown to four without any shear correction factors.

Numerical Investigation on Improving the Computational Efficiency of the Material Point Method
Based on the basic theory of the material point method (MPM), the factors affecting the computational efficiency are analyzed and discussed, and the problem of improving calculation efficiency is studied. This paper introduces a mirror reflection boundary condition to the MPM to solve axisymmetric problems; to improve the computational efficiency of ...

In this paper, a new numerical method named Barycentric Lagrange interpolation‐based differential quadrature method is implemented to get numerical solution of 1D and 2D coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations. In the present study, spatial discretization is done with the aid of Barycentric Lagrange interpolation basis function.
