COmparison of MNDWI and DFI for water mapping in flooding season

2013 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium - IGARSS, 2013
Water delineation during flooding is an important research issue in the context of different background regions for protecting both people and agriculture. This paper compares two very important water indices for practical water mapping especially in the context of river flood management.

Applying MNDWI index and linear directional mean analysis for morphological changes in the Zarriné-Rūd River

Arabian Journal of Geosciences, 2015
Nowadays, river dynamics is strongly influenced by human activities. The Zarrine-Rūd River morphology and the Urmia Lake beach line have been changing in recent decades because of agricultural and construction activities, industrial and urban projects, extra using of water, and sediments of river by riverside dwellers.

A New Index Model NDVI-MNDWI for Water Object Extraction in Hybrid Area

2015
Extracting accurate water boundary plays a critical role in oceanography research. In this study, we tested several water extraction methods using CCD and IRS images from satellites HJ-1A and HJ-1B in Liaodong Bay that has miscellaneous topography structure.

APLICAÇÃO DO MNDWI PARA MAPEAMENTO DAS ÁREAS INUNDÁVEIS DO PANTANAL DO CUIABÁ

REVISTA EQUADOR
