Infrastructure for mobile agents
Proceedings of the 7th workshop on ACM SIGOPS European workshop Systems support for worldwide applications - EW 7, 1996State of the art distributed application technology is not suited to tackle the challenges offered by the "Information Superhighway". A new communication model based on mobile agents has been proposed and is still intensely studied. Research on the software infrastructure required to host agents on the move is urgently needed. The paper presents a ...

Advancing Mobile GUI Agents: A Verifier-Driven Approach to Practical Deployment
arXiv.orgWe propose V-Droid, a mobile GUI task automation agent. Unlike previous mobile agents that utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) as generators to directly generate actions at each step, V-Droid employs LLMs as verifiers to evaluate candidate actions ...

Proceedings Ninth Annual IEEE International Conference and Workshop on the Engineering of Computer-Based Systems, 2003
In this paper we argue that the traditional model of a mobile agent provides a poor programming structure. We base our argument on our experience since 1993 in building distributed applications and mobile agent platforms. We have observed that every distributed application contains three distinct aspects, which we call function, mobility and management.

MobileRL: Online Agentic Reinforcement Learning for Mobile GUI Agents
arXiv.orgBuilding general-purpose graphical user interface (GUI) agents has become increasingly promising with the progress in vision language models. However, developing effective mobile GUI agents with reinforcement learning (RL) remains challenging due to the ...

HTML5 Agents: Mobile Agents for the Web
2014We argue that the modern Web infrastructure with HTML5 as such can be an agent platform and mobile agents could be developed in similar way as Web applications. For us the agents can also be end-user applications that the user can send to a server so that the state is preserved and the execution can continue.

On the search of mobile agents
Proceedings of PIMRC '96 - 7th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor, and Mobile Communications, 2002In a mobile computing environment that supports mobile agents, a client can send an agent to visit a sequence of servers in the network. To track the location of agents becomes a critical problem in managing a mobile agent service network. This paper studies the agent search problem based on an open architecture proposed by Lien (see Proc. of the First

Securing Mobile Agents, Stationary Agents and Places in Mobile Agents Systems
2018A challenging problem to solve to take full advantage of the benefits of mobile agent (MA) technology is to overcome security problems. In fact, in most cases, the security aspects are taken into account on the implementation stage of software development process, which may lead to the negligence of several aspects of security.

MobileAgentBench: An Efficient and User-Friendly Benchmark for Mobile LLM Agents
arXiv.orgLarge language model (LLM)-based mobile agents are increasingly popular due to their capability to interact directly with mobile phone Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs) and their potential to autonomously manage daily tasks.

Network Processing of Mobile Agents, by Mobile Agents, for Mobile Agents
2007This paper presents a framework for building network protocols for migrating mobile agents over a network. The framework allows network protocols for agent migration to be naturally implemented within mobile agents and to be constructed in a hierarchy as most data transmission protocols are.

In view of the proliferation and expansion of wide-area open networks such as the intranets and extra-nets, agent technology is attracting greater attention. However, as yet there is well-established and widely used method of developing safe and secure agent systems.
