Delivery of Pleckstrin‐Homology Domains Suppresses PI3K/Akt Signaling and Breast Cancer Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current therapies curb tumor growth but not metastasis. Obscurin, a giant metastasis suppressor lost in breast cancer, restrains PI3K/Akt signaling but is impractical to restore. We deploy a mini‐obscurin, comprising the obscurin‐PH‐domain, which sequesters PI3K‐p85, potently suppressing invasion and metastasis.

Has Portugal gone wireless? Looking back, Looking ahead [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper analyses the pattern and rate of adoption of mobile telephones by the Portuguese population. It is shown that the pattern of diffusion is S-shaped and is consistent with a logistic function, which describes a symmetrical growth process ...

Photonic Time Crystals and Time‐Varying Electromagnetic Metamatter: A New Direction for Ultrafast Tunable Photonic and Microwave Materials and Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Generation of CCR4/CD7 Bispecific CAR‐T Cells Resistant to Fratricide and Exhaustion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The applications of CAR T‐cell therapy in T‐cell malignancies face limitations such as fratricide, effector‐cell exhaustion, and antigen‐escape. Herein, we developed fratricide‐ and exhaustion‐resistant CAR‐T cells that targeted CCR4 and CD7 simultaneously, with optional EGFRt safety switch. Additionally, scRNA‐seq unveiled new molecular targets, which

Uplink Spectral Efficiency Analysis of Distributed Massive MIMO With Channel Impairments

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
In this paper, considering the practical channel impairments known as pilot contamination and channel aging induced by both Doppler shift and phase noise, we analyze the uplink spectral efficiency of multi-cell multi-user distributed massive multi-input ...

Transient Terahertz Oscillations During Photoinduced Polarization Topology Reconfiguration in Ferroelectric Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Terahertz resonances in crystalline heterostructures could close a spectral gap between conventional electronics and photonics while opening new windows on non‐equilibrium lattice dynamics. Femtosecond optical screening of the depolarization field in epitaxial PbTiO3/SrTiO3 superlattices launches a collective polar mode that oscillates near 1 THz and ...
