FGF2 Mediated USP42‐PPARγ Axis Activation Ameliorates Liver Oxidative Damage and Promotes Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
USP42 is identified as a novel DUB of PPARγ in hepatocytes. USP42 mediated PPARγ deubiquitylation determines its transcriptional preference on proliferative and redox balance genes. USP42 knockdown exacerbates liver damage and delays regeneration. FGF2 is the upstream signal that initiates and activates the USP42‐PPARγ axis.

Deployment of VoIP Technology: QoS Concerns [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Research in Computer and Communication Engineering (IJARCCE), Vol. 2, Issue 9, September 2013, 2013
Voice over IP (VoIP) is an emerging communication service allowing voice transmission over a private or a public IP network. VoIP allows significant benefits for customers and service providers including cost savings, phone and service portability, mobility, and the integration with other applications.

GDC: Integration of Multi‐Omic and Phenotypic Resources to Unravel the Genetic Pathogenesis of Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Overview of the Genetic Deafness Commons (GDC), integrating data from the Chinese Deafness Genetics Consortium (CDGC) and 51 public databases. The GDC provides tools for variant search, functional predictions, and gene‐disease visualization, offering insights into 201 hearing loss genes and facilitating novel gene discovery and clinical applications ...

Secure and Robust IPV6 Autoconfiguration Protocol For Mobile Adhoc Networks Under Strong Adversarial Model [PDF]

open access: yesIJCNC, pp.208-227, Vol.3, No.4, July 2011, 2011
Automatic IP address assignment in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) enables nodes to obtain routable addresses without any infrastructure. Different protocols have been developed throughout the last years to achieve this service. However, research primarily focused on correctness, efficiency and scalability; much less attention has been given to the ...

The Novel Dual GIP and GLP‐1 Receptor Agonist Tirzepatide Attenuates Colon Cancer Development by Regulating Glucose Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tirzepatide, a dual GIP/GLP‐1 receptor agonist for diabetes, suppresses colorectal cancer growth by targeting glucose metabolism. It inhibits cancer cell proliferation, promotes apoptosis, and induces tumor regression. It reduces glucose uptake and destabilizes HIF‐1α for degradation to downregulate PFKFB3/PFK‐1 enzymes, thus contributing to the ...

Accurate and Efficient Measurements of IP level Performance to Drive Interface Selection in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Optimal interface selection is a key mobility management issue in heterogeneous wireless networks. Measuring the physical or link level performance on a given wireless access networks does not provide a reliable indication of the IP connectivity, delay and loss on the (bidirectional) paths from the Mobile Host to the node that is handling the mobility,

Berberine is a Novel Mitochondrial Calcium Uniporter Inhibitor that Disrupts MCU‐EMRE Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Berberine, a safe and FDA‐approved drug, is identified as a novel mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) inhibitor. By disrupting MCU‐EMRE interaction, Berberine prevents mitochondrial calcium overload and protects against ischemia/reperfusion injury, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for diseases linked to mitochondrial calcium dysregulation ...

An Application of the Mobile Transient Internet Architecture to IP Mobility and Inter-Operability [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
We introduce an application of a mobile transient network architecture on top of the current Internet. This paper is an application extension to a conceptual mobile network architecture. It attempts to specifically reinforce some of the powerful notions exposed by the architecture from an application perspective.

Targeting Senescence with Apigenin Improves Chemotherapeutic Efficacy and Ameliorates Age‐Related Conditions in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As a plant‐derived flavonoid, apigenin directly targets PRDX6 to inhibit its PLA2 activity, blocking HSPA8 activation and disturbing its interactions with ATM and p38MAPK in senescent cells. By dampening wide spectrum expression of the SASP, apigenin prevents loss of tissue homeostasis, improves organ function, and alleviates multiple age‐related ...
